Happy Birthday Dad

My dad's birthday is today (4th) so we were able to celebrate his birthday while I was up in Salt Lake. Happy birthday dad! He is one tough man and as he would say it, "I can still kick the crap out of any 75 year old in the country". We had a great dinner at Stephen & Christine's home and watched the Super Bowl. It was great to see everyone eventhough I was the only one in my family that was able to go up. Spending time with family and friends is what life is all about.

This past weekend I went up to Salt Lake to see my family and attend a surprise birthday party for an old friend. My best friend growing up was Dianna Gardner (now Dianna Law). Her brother Doug was turning 50 so his family had a great party. So many people from our old neighborhood were there and it was a blast to see people I hadn't seen for over 25 years. All the Gardeners were there which was so fun to see each of them.

Owen's Birthday

Owen's birthday was January 14th, so we went to Cedar City and went bowling and took went to dinner with the whole family. It was great! We went to Ninja and had Japanese food where they cook it in front of you. We had a great time!

Bowling

We went bowling for Owen's birthday, and also because Tyler has to get 1/2 PE credit to graduate. So he signed up for bowling through BYU. So we killed 2 birds with 1 stone. It was fun! I beat everyone the first game, but I can't remember the 2nd. The next time we went my neck and back was so stiff I could hardly hold the ball, so I didn't do very well.

Christmas & New Years

This is crazy to try and blog, but I thought I would do a test run. We had a wonderful Chritmas this year so I thought I would jot a little something down about it. Our family seems to be shrinking since April & Owen are married and living in Cedar City and Jacob is serving a mission in the Lubbock Texas Mission. But the 4 of us woke up when we wanted to, and stalled so April and Owen could join us after opening presents with the Hoyt family. The best part of Christmas day was our phone call from Jacob. He is doing so well, and we are so proud of him! He is a wonderful example for his brothers. He is currently in Amarillo, Texas and loves it so much. He thought being on a mission for Christmas was the best. He loved taking things to the older people, and helping with the Christmas Program in the ward. He sounded just the same even though he has grown so much in the past 9 months.

We went to Salt Lake City to see our family on the 28th and stayed through New Years Day. We got to see almost all of our family it it was so fun to catch up with everyone. I am excited about 2009 and we feel so blessed for all we have. Thanks to Lisa and Mike for letting us always crash at their beautiful home. They have a great "party" house and all the kids love to stay there and play games, sing, watch movies...you name it - It's available at the Wilsons. We love you guys.

Happy New Year to all our friends and family!

Winter Has Arrived!

We have had so much snow fall this year already. Orderville usually doesn't get very much, but this year we had over 2 feet pile up. There has been about 4 feet up at the resort. It's better to have too much snow than not enough I guess.

Everyone had a great time playing in the snow!
